RULES AND REGULATIONS

The School of Education Library is governed by the General Regulations for the use of the Alma Jordan Library at St. Augustine, except as stated below. A copy of the Alma Jordan’s Library rules can be consulted at the School of Education Library. Users are requested to familiarize themselves with both sets of rules.

MEMBERSHIP

The following categories of users will be permitted to borrow:

  1. Registered students of the School of Education
  2. School of Education staff
  3. Registered UWI students
  4. UWI staff
  5. Open Campus students

The following categories of users will be given Reading and Reference privileges

  1. UWI Alumni
  2. Participants in Short Courses
  3. External Users

External users are required to pay a non-refundable fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) and will be allowed to use the library for a period of two weeks. Non-UWI tertiary institution and secondary students must present a letter from their institution stating that they are bona fide students. A limited number of students will be allowed to use the library at any given time.

CONDUCT RULES

  1. No bags are allowed in the library
  2. Cellular phones must be turned off in the library
  3. No umbrellas are allowed in the library (An umbrella bin is provided in the foyer)
  4. Food items are not allowed in the library (i.e. No eating or drinking in the library)
  5. No children are allowed in the library
  6. Copyright regulations must be observed.
